Machining is the cutting of raw metal material into a desired final shape and size by a machine controlled material-removal processing. shaft machining to high tolerances.
- Turning is the operation in which the rotating of the workpiece as the primary method of moving metal against the cutting tool. Lathes are the principal machine tool used in turning.
- Milling is the operation in which the cutting tool rotates to bring cutting edges to bear against the workpiece. Milling machines are the principal machine tool used in milling.
- Drilling are operations in which holes are produced or refined by bringing a rotating cutter with cutting edges at the lower extremity into contact with the workpiece. Drilling operations are done primarily in drill presses but sometimes on lathes or mills.
- Tapping is the threading of pre drilled holes to any thread specification.
- Line Boring is the machining of surfaces in existing metal components. This allows us the capability to machine bespoke parts without having to dismantle the existing equipment.
